firefox final release

Looks like the web browser most of us were introduced to by Bud is ready to release its final version. I think this is a pretty big step in challenging the dominant microsoft. Personally, I'm not a fan of changes specially when it comes to computers but I think I can make the transition from IE to firefox simply cause its so frustrating to use IE and keep closing all those pesky pop-ups. Are advances in technology good or bad?

This is probably the first time i have heard about people using live text feeds on their phones which were sent to several people to warn them of possible 'danger' of police or traffic in their surroundings. It's interesting to see how people use technology. I think that people could easily misuse this. For example it could be used to warn speeding drivers on highways about cops that could be in the vicinity. This is definitely not helping break the law. Am sure people with a really creative 'criminal' mind could make really good use of this. My question is whether such advances in technology are really for the better or for the worse?
